COMPANY DECRIPTION
- The company was established in 1927 under the patronage of a German born in Lichtenstein, Gustav Bahner. Named “Uzinele Textile Româneşti” (Romanian Textile Manufactories) it had 150 workers and a monthly production of 210,000 pairs of socks.
- Until 1930, Gustav Bahner manages to estrange the Romanian shareholders, becoming the unique owner. Now he changed the name of the company into “G.B.L.” which symbolizes the initials of his name and his country of origin.
- On August 23rd, 1944, the manufactory goes in the ownership of the Romanian state, until 1946 when it’s taken over under soviet administration and named “TEBA”- Textila Banat (Banat Textile).
- On April 6th, 1954 the company becomes a Romanian state enterprise named “Fabrica de ciorapi si tricotaje Sebeş” (Sebeş socks and textile factory)
- Between 1956 and 1974 the enterprise benefits from investments in new technologies and machines, buildings, electrical and thermo installations. The number of employers rose 6 times and the production4 times.
- In the year 1990 the company’s name changes into “CISEROM” and in 1995 it becomes a private company with 100% private funds.
After this date, the enterprise went through a series of changes consisting of:

- modernization of the technological flow
- acquisition of textile hardware, "Lonatti" and "Matec" for the production of competitive products on the intern and extern markets
- acquisition of hardware for completion of the products "Rosso" and "Conti"
- modification of the production flow, starting with wiring, knitting, dyeing and ironing
- replacement and modernization of the dyeing workshop, by acquisition of machines and specialized computer for the process control
- the acquisition of computers for production monitoring, sales and retribution of the company’s personal.
